Pharmacy selling NexiumI was prescribed Nexium from January 2000 - that's when I knew something was up. I was prescribed proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) Nexium and ran a blood test called an auto-immunity test for human immunodeficiency virus type 2 (HIV-2).
The results of the test showed that people who took Nexium were actually more likely to have a higher level of HIV-2 (a virus which causes AIDS) than people who did not take the medicine. This is true regardless of whether you were HIV-1 or HIV-2 positive. The HIV-1/2 test was also the most reliable test available in the U. S., with results available every 3 to 6 months. This is great news because the U. S. government requires that people who have HIV-1/2 positive HIV-2 RNA tests be tested every 6 to 8 months.
It was not until late in the year that I noticed a change in the way I was diagnosed with HIV-2. I stopped taking Nexium in January 2012 because I was showing a lot of symptoms from HIV-2 infection, including fatigue, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and joint pain. The symptoms I had had before began to get worse. I had to stop taking Nexium because I had developed a painful backache and arthritis.
The doctor noticed that the symptoms were similar to those of HIV-1/2 infection. I was on Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) Nexium for 12 months, and my pain had completely disappeared. My pain was less than ideal but it continued and I was able to go to the doctor to pick up a new prescription.
I did get a refill but the doctor told me to wait a couple of weeks before continuing to take Nexium. I had to stop taking Nexium in January 2013 because I was showing symptoms from HIV-2 infection. The symptoms I had had had completely disappeared before I stopped taking Nexium.
I had an interesting conversation with a new doctor. He recommended that I take Nexium again in March 2013 - but I stopped taking the medicine just weeks later because I had developed a painful joint space.
He also recommended that I start taking Nexium in August 2013 because the symptoms I had had had completely gone. I have since been taking Nexium.
